Swungby your reference to the winelist I had lunch at Loch Fyne in WInchester yesterday. Had a half of the house Sauvignon Blanc from d'Oc.

Very nice. Interesting the label had no AC or VdP or any appellation information.

Had the haddock, perfect. Mushy peas were heavily peppered and tasted like they may have also had some chilli in it. Anyway, it was too hot for my companion.

Glad you had a good experience.

The original (On Loch Fyne) was and maybe still is fantastic. It's now a chain with 38 outlets and, sadly, the quality - but not the service - is variable.
