Prof. Virgílio Loureiro graciously shared both his impressive knowledge, and well-informed contacts, arranging for me to see some of the sights so well described on this blog. I was happy to pass along what I learned to my colleagues in Lisbon, so now some of this important legacy has a wider audience in Portugal as well.
